Alpine Butterfly Knot
The alpine butterfly knot is a great knot to tie ‘mid-line’ as it can be loaded on both strands at the same time, providing clip in points in ropes and could also be used to isolate a small section of damage mid-line. The alpine butterfly is also commonly used to create y-hangs, particularly on a larger scale due to it being easy to adjust and its suitability for three direction loading.
